Etiopia-Witten

Building Bridges. Supporting Communities. Changing Lives.
Etiopia-Witten e.V. is a German non-profit organization based in Witten, Germany, dedicated to supporting communities in Ethiopia through humanitarian assistance, healthcare, education, and sustainable development initiatives.
Our work is built on partnership, trust, and a long-term commitment to the people and institutions we support. For many years, we have worked closely with local partners in Ethiopia, with a particular focus on Mekelle and the Tigray region. We believe that meaningful support goes beyond delivering aid. It requires cooperation, local involvement, knowledge sharing, and a commitment to ensuring that projects create lasting value.

Our Story

Etiopia-Witten was founded following a visit to Ethiopia by a group of dedicated professionals, including doctors and educators, who were deeply inspired by the country and its people. What began as a commitment to support healthcare development gradually grew into a broader mission. Over the years, our activities have expanded to include medical support, professional training, educational initiatives, school development, humanitarian assistance, and cooperation between communities in Germany and Ethiopia.
Our association brings together volunteers, medical professionals, educators, supporters, and partners who share a common goal: to contribute their knowledge, resources, and experience where they are most needed.
